Each year the funds raised by our tournament greatly helps the foundation in providing the best of care for our residents. In addition to the purchase of cuddle beds and the aiding in the refurbishment of the palliative care suites, funds raised in 2022 went toward additional ceiling lifts, a new sound system for our music recreation therapy and other much needed benefits for the home.

SECOND ANNUAL
Charity Fundraiser Tournament
The second annual Charity Golf Tournament was held on September 26, 2019 at the Bally Haly Golf and Country Club in St. John’s for support and recognition of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. It was a fun day filled with golf, a delicious dinner, a silent auction and games of chance.
Once again, we were privileged to announce CBC media personality and St. John’s Morning Show Host, Fred Hutton as Honorary Chairperson for the event. Attendees were given a chance to meet Fred and test their skills against him on one of the holes of the golf course!
As the needs of our seniors grow, we count on caring supporters to help improve the lives of those who have given so much to their families and communities. Your support of this event has had a real impact on the lives of residents at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.
The Foundation’s fundraising activities over the next year are targeted at providing significant improvements to our facilities, especially the areas dedicated to our residents dealing with dementia issues.
This includes the ongoing fundraising toward our Therapeutic Loop/ Memory Garden for our Facility, which will be a significant improvement for the health and well-being of our residents. In addition, this tournament benefits the annual purchase of Christmas gifts for the over 200 residents of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in 2019.
